ENIGMAS of CHINA

China's territorial size is just as big as their population and they in fact covered a large part of the Eurasian land mass with extreme physical conditions (from the freezing Himalayas to the scorching Gobi desert) that is but perfect for some enigmas to exist.

My inquisitive nature especially for things that I regard as curious even enigmatic led me to play around google earth and allow my eyes to scan the images. The following images are among those i spotted even before I knew that over the internet there exist literary references to them.

The first image seems to me at first a open-air temple, reminding of the Stonehenge of Salisbury Plain in England. But what made me aghast is realizing that strewn along the circularly arranged slabs of sorts are 3 jet fighters. What are they doin there right in the center and how did they get there to begin with? Vertical hover? Just what exactly are the standing slabs arrange in so circular a fashion? Just what the radial spokes meant?

The second image is a side by side curious portrait of what could be a modern and an way very old airport runway right in the Gobi desert? It is clear that the runway on the left is already inundated by desert sands and showed signs of erosion. But why is it roughly 4 times wider than the one on the right? And just how old is this runway on the left?

Still strewn across the Gobi are two unusual clearings- a football field-like open area and a colossal abstract artwork-like of geometric shapes that but defy easy explanation as to their purpose. While I may have an idea or two, it's best to leave the viewer to come up with their own interpretation for now.

Lastly the idea of Chinese pyramids came to me as a new knowledge. While we are familiar with the Mayan, Egyptians, Indian versions, the ones in China are relatively new since they were sans from the prying eyes of the world. Just what are they for? Do they serve the exact same purpose as all other pyramids? Who built them? Are they as old as those of in Egypt and Central America?

China, having one of the world's oldest civilizations is not surprising to have their own share of enigmas. What just begs the question is What are they for? Who and When were they built? And why?

Fascinating...But Creepily Unnerving

Undulatus Aperatus Clouds

Just a day before I posted this, I came across over the internet of these fascinating images of recently newly classified cloud formations which they termed Undulatus (i.e. undulating = wave-like) Aperatus (rough) clouds or simply say Rough Wave Clouds. My initial reaction was... fascinating. You're feeling as if the entire world is under the waves of water. But then, I felt a tinge of unnerving creepiness... the fusion of lights and shadows, the rolling-patterns of the clouds itself, makes me feel I'm in for a stormy scenario.

But science says such clouds are not harbingers of rain, nor are they storm systems. They're more like an electromagnetic reaction of clouds during a electromagnetic disturbance in the upper atmosphere, I think during a solar wind strikes. Such clouds are largely confined in the upper northern hemisphere regions.

But whatever the basis behind, it is simply fascinating... and unnerving...

This is a start of new beginning for my blogging days....
